Nawaz Sharif Chose Friendship with Modi over National Pride: Barrister Saif
Peshawar
Adviser to the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Information, Barrister Dr. Saif has strongly criticized Nawaz Sharif for his silence during the recent military standoff between Pakistan and India. “To Nawaz Sharif, I say this: any fist or slap remembered only after the war ends should be directed at oneself,” Dr. Saif remarked.
In a statement issued from his office, Barrister Saif criticized Nawaz Sharif Maryam Nawaz for their conduct during the recent conflict, accusing them of preferring to preserve personal friendship with Modi over national pride. “Now that peace has returned, they emerge as though they are the ones who have defeated India,” he said.
Barrister Saif said that Imran Khan is the only true national leader who boldly challenged the Indian PM despite being in prison whereas Nawaz Sharif failed to utter a single word against India.
“This is why the nation continues to rally behind Imran Khan,” he added. “During the height of Indo-Pak tensions, Nawaz Sharif remained loyal to his close friend Modi, remaining completely silent. He cannot call out the Indian PM for the aggression against Pakistan but can host him at Jati Umrah”
He further alleged that the current government—formed through manipulated election results (Form 47)—remains focused on fabricating cases against Imran Khan instead of rising above political vendettas during national crises.
Calling for the immediate release of Imran Khan, Barrister Saif stated, “Only Imran Khan can truly unify Pakistan as one nation. He has the guts to call out the enemy and advance the national interests.”
He concluded by commending the military’s recent performance: “The nation has stood united like a wall against the enemy. Our valiant Air Force has delivered a resounding victory, lifting the spirit and pride of the entire country.”
