KHYBER: Oath taking ceremony of the new office bearers of Anjuman-e-Tajran Landi Kotal Bazaar was held in Jirga Hall on Monday. Former Senator Taj Muhammad Afridi was the chief guest on the occasion. Beside tehsil Chairman Haji Shah Khalid, Assistant Commissioner, Landi Kotal Irshad Mohmand, Additional Station House Officer Temour Shinwari, head of Khyber Sports Club Mirajuddin Shinwari, tribal elders and a large number of local traders were among the participants.
Addressing on the occasion Senator Taj Muhammad Afridi felicitated the newly elected cabinet of the Bazaar union and said it will leave no stone unturned to work for the welfare of the local traders.
Success hides in honesty and a shopkeeper who deceives his customers will get timely profit but will never develop his business, he added and said Landi Kotal Bazaar has special status that must be upheld in the form of honoring the customers.
He urged the shopkeepers to strictly follow the rules of honesty and avoid misleading the purchasers.
He called upon the administration and the local bodies’ representatives not to impose a firm set of laws being implemented down as the tribal traders were unfamiliar with the new system.
Prior to it,Senator Taj Muhammad Afridi administered oath the new cabinet members of the trade union comprised Chairman Naveed Shinwari, Yad Wazir Shinwari President,Nazek Shah General Secretary,Haji Sher and Attaullah Afridi as Vice-and Senior Vice President respectively and Wali Muhammad Finance Secretary.
Earlier, Tehsil Chairman Haji Khalid, Maulana Ali Haidar and Kaleemullah Shinwari apprised the chief guest of the problems being faced by them.
