Bitcoin slips to $26,512 in mixed trade

ISLAMABAD: The cryptocurrency market traded mixed on Sunday, with the market cap gaining 0.1 percent to reach $1.11 trillion. As of 1330 hours GMT, Bitcoin (BTC), the world’s most valued token, slipped to $26,512 with a minor decrease of 0.1 percent in the last 24 hours. The market capitalisation of the biggest crypto has reached $514.5 billion with this decrease. Bitcoin has been 2.9 percent up in the past seven days. TLTP
Bitcoin has recovered since hitting a three-month low on Thursday. The filing of an application by BlackRock for a crypto-backed exchange-traded fund has driven BTC’s gain, effectively putting an end to its three-day losing streak. These developments have unfolded amidst the US Securities and Exchange Commission’s legal actions against Binance and Coinbase.
Similarly, Ether (ETH), the world’s second-largest cryptocurrency by market capitalisation, slipped by 0.3 percent to reach $1,735. With this decrease in price, the market capitalisation of ETH has reached $208.7 billion. ETH has been 0.7 percent down in the past seven days.
However, Binance Coin (BNB) increased by 0.7 percent to reach $247. With this increase in price, the market capitalisation of BNB has reached $38.5 billion. BNB has gained 4.6 percent of its value during the last seven days.
Following suit, Ripple (XRP) price surged 1.7 percent to reach $0.491. The market capitalisation of XRP stands at $25.6 billion with this increase. XRP has shed 3.5 percent of its value during the last seven days.
On the other hand, Cardano (ADA) price slipped 0.4 percent to reach $0.267. Its market capitalisation has reached $9.37 billion with this decrease. ADA has shed 0.8 percent of its value in the past seven days.
Other popular altcoins including Dogecoin (DOGE) and Litecoin (LTC) landed in the positive as overall prices saw minor gains across the board. Aptos (APT) emerged to be the biggest gainer, seeing a 24-hour jump of over 9.97 percent. Quant (QNT), on the other hand, turned out to be the biggest loser.
