Blocking of national identity cards of Pukhtuns protested in senate

Islamabad (Online): Strong protest was voiced in Senate over blocking the National Identity Cards of more than 4, 00,000 identity .
Sources said that Senate members demanded immediate measures from government in this regard .
Senator Usman Khan Kakar said that it was being said now that more than 4, 00,000 ID cards stand blocked and 90 percent among them relates to Pukhtuns.
He said the identity cards of the people with beard and turbans are blocked. The present government is meting out discriminatory treatment to Pukhtuns. Those whose cards are blocked can neither send their children to schools nor can they withdraw money from banks, he added.
“we are citizens are the country who are not being recognized, he remarked.
