In the memory of martyred police officials, a blood donation camp was organized here in police line, Shahkas, Jamrud, district Khyber on Friday.
Number of police officials actively participated in the activity by donating blood.
District Police Officer (DPO) Khyber Rai Mazhar Iqbal visited the camp and appreciated the spirit of the police officials.
He inaugurated the camp first by donating his blood.
Speaking on the occasion DPO said that the martyred police sacrificed their present to save our future and by donating blood was to honor and recognize their unmatched sacrifice.
Praising dedication of the Khyber Police, DPO said that the wellbeing activity was not just a medical necessity but a spiritual attachment with the sacrifices, given by the police force and a continued will of public service.
It is to be stated here that 04 August is observed as police martyrs day across the country to remember and recognize valuable sacrifices of the police forces rendered in the line of duty.
