Boxing Referee, Judges course concluded in Peshawar, the course was attended by a large number of men and women

Under the supervision of the Pakistan Boxing Federation, a Referees and Judges Course was recently organized in Peshawar, as well as across the country, aimed at promoting boxing and ensuring compliance with modern rules. The event, held at the boxing arena of Peshawar Sports Complex and organized by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Boxing Association, attracted a large number of male and female referees, judges, and boxers over a two-day period.
Muhammad Younis Pathan, the head of the Referees Judges Council of the Pakistan Boxing Federation, led the course, emphasizing the importance of adapting to new boxing rules to remain competitive on a global scale. He praised the efforts of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Boxing Association, particularly Secretary Khaizrullah and Chairman Mohammad Akmal Khan Jadoon, for revitalizing boxing in the region through various competitions at provincial and divisional levels.
“I witnessed a remarkable change in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa boxing, especially with the enthusiastic participation of female boxers during the Under-16 Girls Boxing Championship in Peshawar,” said Younis Pathan, expressing optimism about the future of the sport in the province.
Secretary General Khaizrullah, speaking to the media, expressed his hopes for the continued growth of boxing, emphasizing the emergence of talented grassroots athletes across all divisions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
He credited the success to the collaborative efforts of local associations and acknowledged the contributions of Chairman Muhammad Akmal Khan Jadoon and Rahm Bibi, President of the Women’s Wing, in promoting women’s boxing.
“Rahm Bibi has played a significant role in developing women’s sports in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, especially during her tenure at Frontier College for Women,” Khaizrullah stated, highlighting Rahm Bibi’s efforts in fostering a supportive environment for student athletes.
Rahm Bibi, reflecting on her experience, expressed her commitment to promoting women’s boxing and emphasized the importance of martial arts in empowering women. She underscored the role of sports in teaching self-defense and providing opportunities for girls to excel in athletics.
Certificates were distributed to participants at the conclusion of the course, marking another milestone in the promotion of boxing and gender equality in sports across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
