Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Peshawar introduced a new design for Zu Card on Monday.
The colour of the new card has been designed green in the context of the brand colour of Zu Peshawar, which is also the national colour of Pakistan, said a spokesperson of the TransPeshawar, operator of the BRT service.
New design for the Card has been launched today (Monday) February 27, 2023 and the price of the card is fixed at the rate of Rs.300/- and will be available at all BRT stations. However, the issuance of new cards will not affect hold card holders and commuters can use it as usual.
It said that due to increase in the value of dollar, the cost of the production of card has increased, which has prompted the service to increase the price of the card.
The spokesperson told in initial phase 1.5 million Zu Cards were made and out of which 0.4 million were distributed free of cost and now about 1.5 million cards have been issued so far. No increase is made in the fare of the BTR service.
