Buses on more 13 routes will be plied in Islamabad soon

ISLAMABAD: Law minister Senator Azam Nazir Tarar has told the Senate that buses will soon be plied on more 13 routes in federal capital soon to address transport problems of the citizens. During question hours on Wednesday in Senate, senator Zeeshan Khanzada said traffic pressure is mounting in Islamabad tremendously. What steps have been taken by the government so far in this regard. Law minister Senator Azam Tarar told the house the metro bus fare in Islamabad is Rs 30. There is green line and blue lines which are provided subsidy amounting to Rs 700 million. Subsidy of Rs 97 million is provided to Green bus running between Bahara Kahu and PIMS. Islamabad population is on rise therefore, work is being done on more 13 routes, he stated. Online
