An important meeting held here on Wednesday with CCPO Peshawar Syed Ashfaq Anwar in the chair, reviewed law and order situation in the provincial capital. According to a statement, the meeting which was held at Malik Saad Shaheed Police Lines attended by SSP Investigation Sajjad Ahmed Sahibzada, SP Warsak Division Taimur Khan, DSP Warsak Circle Imtiaz Alam and SHOs.
CCPO Peshawar issued instructions to quarter concerned to initiate re-investigation of unregistered tenants in the areas, strict monitoring of anti-social elements, and implement National Action Plan in letter and spirit. He directed to intensify the ongoing campaign against the elements involved in serious crimes and their facilitators.
The forum reviewed the law and order situation especially in the suburbs of the city and special instructions have been issued in this connection.
The CCPO has also directed to intensify the snap checking under the supervision of the SDPOs at the entry and exit points and strictly monitor the criminals. Syed Ashfaq Anwar has also directed to ensure the use of helmet jacket during mobile patrol including police stations, checkpoints and blockade duty by following the principles of safety first.
The CCPO has also issued special instructions to all Riders Squad, Ababil Squad, City Patrolling and Police Station Mobile to maintain law and order in the city.
There is a need to further activate human intelligence at the street level to ensure prompt action against anti-social elements by obtaining timely verified information, maintaining peace in the city and protecting the lives and property of citizens, he said. In order to improve coordination with other law enforcement agencies, the role of the investigative system in crime suppression is key, which is also being improved.
