Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Syed Ashfaq Anwar on Friday encouraged police personnel and officers with cash awards and certificates of appreciation for their excellent performance.
While addressing the police force at Malik Saad Shaheed Police Lines Peshawar, CCPOsaid the history of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police is full of sacrifices.
Many police officers, personnel and Jawans laid down their lives in line of duty. Syed Ashfaq Anwar said the police force of the province played a key role and fought at the front line to maintain law and order.
Capital City Police has devised a new strategy to maintain peace and eliminate anti-social elements; he said and added that positive results coming out of the strategy and crime ratio in the provincial metropolis have been controlled. Mr Anwar emphasized on the participants and said that any major responsibility canbe successfully tackled by making team work our motto.
Hesaid that police have launched a comprehensive crackdown on those involved in streetcrime, drug pushing, and other crimes dealers, and no one is above the law inthe eyes of police.
CCPOSyed Ashfaq Anwar made it clear that the process of accountability in thepolice department will continue and strict disciplinary action will be takenfor neglect of duties, carelessness and misuse of powers.
Therecipient of the awards and cash prizes included DSP Warsak Muhammad Ishaq, SHOPolice Station Regi, Javed Akhtar, PSIs Tariqullah, Riaz Khan, Akif Anjum, ASIsMukhtiar, Zainuddin, Muharrar Regi Zafar Khan, Constable Taseef Khan, Azmat andShah Riaz.
