A visionary APSUP event on youth-led national transformation

CECOS University of IT and Emerging Sciences proudly hosted a landmark event under the banner of the Association of Private Sector Universities of Pakistan (APSUP) titled “Imagine Pakistan 2030”, bringing together distinguished education leaders and visionaries to discuss a collective roadmap for Pakistan’s future.
The event, held at CECOS University, convened a large audience of students, faculty members, and academic leaders, aiming to spark meaningful dialogue on the role of youth, education, and innovation in shaping Pakistan’s trajectory towards 2030.
The session commenced with Prof. Dr. Muhammad Mohsin Khan, Vice Chancellor of CECOS University, delivering insightful opening remarks. He welcomed the guests and highlighted the university’s continued commitment to fostering dialogue and collaboration that inspire a progressive and knowledge-driven Pakistan.
Following the opening, Prof. Dr. Chaudhry Abdul Rehman, Chairman Superior Group, addressed the audience, emphasizing the purpose of the “Imagine Pakistan 2030” initiative — to unite the academic community and youth under one vision: empowering the next generation to lead with integrity, innovation, and impact. He underlined the need for universities to go beyond education and act as incubators of leadership, creativity, and civic responsibility.
In a deeply engaging session, Mr. Mian Amer Mahmood, Chairman Punjab Group, shared a comprehensive roadmap and action plan aimed at improving governance, fostering accountability, and creating avenues for young leaders to play an active role in Pakistan’s political and economic spheres. His address outlined a pragmatic approach to developing a leadership ecosystem rooted in education, entrepreneurship, and ethics.
The event concluded with an interactive Q&A session, allowing participants to directly engage with Mr. Mian Amer Mahmood. Students and attendees asked thoughtful questions regarding the challenges and opportunities in implementing youth-led governance and sustainable development goals.
In the closing segment, Engr. Sohaib Tanveer, Vice President CECOS University and President APSUP KP Chapter, delivered a note of thanks and shared his reflections on the theme. He encouraged the youth to focus on self-improvement and personal well-being as a foundation for societal progress, reminding students that meaningful national change begins with individual growth and responsibility.
Engr. Sohaib Tanveer also presented souvenirs to the distinguished guest speakers in appreciation of their valuable contributions and participation.
