Healthcare commission seals 1678 health facilities over violation

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Healthcare Commission (KPHCC) has released its three-month performance report, revealing a significant surge in regulatory activity across the province’s medical sector.
According to the commission’s spokesperson, Azm Rehman, a total of 801 medical centers were registered during the three-month period.
Meanwhile, inspection teams conducted visits to 8,199 healthcare facilities, issuing notices to 4,496 centers for various violations and sealing 1,678 centers found operating in serious breach of healthcare regulations.
The report further stated that 74 medical centers underwent detailed inspections, after which 17 centers were granted full licenses, while 136 received interim licenses.
To enhance service standards, the commission also organized seven training sessions on the “Quality of Health Services,” benefiting 183 staff members from different districts across the province.
In terms of public grievances, the commission received 333 new complaints during the reporting period, out of which 303 were successfully resolved.
Director Operations Arsalan Ahmed Khan expressed satisfaction over the commission’s performance, noting that the figures reflect the dedication and hard work of the commission’s staff. “Our mission is to ensure the provision of quality healthcare services to the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa,” he stated.
