Attock: A suspected child molester sentenced 20 years in prison besides imposing fine worth Rs 0.2 million by a court in Attock on Monday. Additional Sessions Judge Mirza Shahid Baig has awarded the sentence to Muhammad Babar after the prosecution proved charges against them. The investigation officer Sub Inspector Muhammad Kosar, submitted before the court that as per the first information report, the accused on July 9, 2021 took the mentally retarded boy to house in Kamalpur Musa in the limits of Rangoo Police station and forcibly molested him. He said the victim’s father then registered FIR against the accused at Rangoo Police Station under section 377 and 511 of the PPC. The court, after hearing arguments from both sides and recording statements of the complainant and victim, awarded 20 years sentence to the accused. The court also imposed fine of Rs 0.20 million on the accused. Online
