PESHAWAR: Special Assistant to the Chief Minister on Home and Tribal Affairs Tariq Saeed Marwat visited Bannu to review the prevailing law and order situation and assess the implementation of the provincial government’s security measures. He was accompanied by Parliamentary Secretary for Home and Tribal Affairs and MPA Haji Zahidullah Wazir, said a handout. The statement said that during the visit, Commissioner Bannu Division, Capt (Retd) Khalid Mehmood, and Deputy Inspector General of Police, Bannu Region, Rab Nawaz Khan, briefed the special assistant on the security situation, the arrangements in place, and the performance of the relevant institutions. Officials informed the meeting that the district administration, police and other departments were working in close coordination to protect the lives and property of citizens and maintain peace and stability in the region. Mr Marwat directed the concerned authorities to utilise all available resources to improve public service delivery, ensure maximum facilities for citizens and further strengthen public confidence in state institutions.
