CM holds parliamentarian’s day, orders immediate resolution of public issues

A“Parliamentarians’ Day” was held at the Chief Minister’s House, Peshawar, under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Muhammad Sohail Afridi, where members of the National Assembly and Provincial Assembly from across the province directly apprised the Chief Minister of public issues in their respective constituencies, a handout said.
The meeting held detailed discussions on constituency-wise issues across key sectors, including health, education, clean drinking water, roads, energy, and local government matters. Chief Minister Muhammad Sohail Afridi issued on-the-spot development, administrative, and service delivery decisions, along with clear directions to the relevant departments for the resolution of public issues.
He directed all concerned departments to ensure resolution of the identified issues within stipulated timelines. Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that resolution of public issues is a practical manifestation of the good governance vision of PTI Founder Chairman Imran Khan. He emphasized that public complaints will be resolved on ground rather than being left pending in files.
The Chief Minister noted that genuine issues raised through elected representatives define the government’s priorities, and instructed that recommendations put forward by parliamentarians be incorporated into upcoming development and financial planning. He further directed that where resolution of an issue is not immediately feasible, clear reasons must be communicated so that elected representatives return satisfied.
He added that a digital complaint system has already been established in the province to ensure effective monitoring and timely redressal of public grievances. The Chief Minister stated that the incumbent provincial government is representative of its people and any delay or negligence in addressing public issues will not be tolerated.
