CM-KP inaugurates projects worth Rs9 billion for DI Khan

Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sardar Ali Amin Gandapur on Saturday inaugurated various uplift projects for his hometown Dera Ismail Khan, said an official handout.
Addressing a ceremony for the foundation stone laying of various development projects at Khyber Pakhtunkhwa House in Dera Ismail Khan CM Gandapur emphasized the importance of establishing law and order in the province, highlighting ongoing efforts to strengthen the police department through increased recruitment and modern equipment.
These projects include 14 roads, five bridges and repair of flood-affected roads. Major and minor roads include Daraban Chaudhwan Road (15.4 km), N50 to Atal Sharif Road (18.6 km), Kalachi Taroori Road (5.10 km), Naivela to Grah Rasheed Road (11.52 km), Kokar Shirki Road (8.10 km), Parua to Babbar Road (5.20 km), Indus Highway to CRBC Canal (9 km).
Under the projects bridges include Rangpur Adda Bridge, Loni Nallah Bridge, Indus Tributary and others.
Similarly, various repair works are also part of the projects, said the statement.
“Enhancing law and order, improving healthcare through hospital upgrades and expanded health care coverage in the province was the first priority of the provincial government, “ he said.
Commissioner Dera Syed Abdul Jabbar Shah, Deputy Commissioner Dera Sara Rehman, Project Director Muhammad Abid, elected public representatives and PTI workers attended the inauguration ceremony.
He also announced the completion of work on two flyovers in Dera Ismail Khan and the allocation of funds for the projects.
CM Gandapur stressed the importance of investing public money in the people and acknowledged the sacrifices made by police officers in the province.
CM-KP Gandapure urged citizens to take responsibility for maintaining public infrastructure, such as sewage lines, and announced efforts to promote performing officers in government institutions.
The Chief Minister said that a waterway and drainage system has been closed in the city due to littering and construction waste.
He emphasized the need for awareness about not throwing trash, dirt, and garbage into waterways.
Ali Amin Gandapur mentioned efforts to improve government institutions by bringing forward performing officers in the province.
Additionally, he acknowledged the sacrifices made by the police and vowed to eradicate bribery.
