Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Muhammad Sohail Afridi paid a surprise visit to Charsadda, during which he conducted on-ground assessment of the facilities being provided to the public and the overall service delivery system at the Citizen Facilitation Center.
A statement issued here stated that during the visit, the Chief Minister expressed serious displeasure over undue delays in land transfers and the issuance of ownership records (Fard), and issued clear directives to the relevant authorities that delays in public service matters would not be tolerated under any circumstances. The Chief Minister directed the district administration to fix duties of patwaris at the Citizen Facilitation Center on a rotation basis, so that citizens are not forced to visit multiple offices and are instead provided timely and dignified services under one roof. Taking notice of power outages, he further instructed the upgradation of the solar power system installed at the center to ensure uninterrupted service delivery and to prevent inconvenience to the public. During the visit, the Chief Minister interacted directly with citizens, listened to their concerns, and sought their feedback on service delivery, terming public input essential for improving governance systems. He also ordered an immediate inquiry into complaints regarding delays in the issuance of inheritance mutations (Intiqal), making it clear that any form of negligence or inefficiency in such sensitive matters is unacceptable. The Chief Minister emphasized that there is zero tolerance for negligence in service delivery and warned that indiscriminate action would be taken against those found responsible. He further stated that the process of surprise visits across the province would continue to allow direct oversight of public service institutions. Reaffirming the government’s commitment, he said that the timely, transparent, and quality provision of public services remains a top priority of the provincial government.
