Commission to be formed to settle North-South Waziristan border dispute: Dr Aamir

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has decided to form a commission for the peaceful settlement of the ongoing border disputes among South Waziristan, Lower, Upper and North Waziristan.
The provincial caretaker minister for industries, technical education and tribal affairs Dr Syed Aamir Abdullah said that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has tasked the Senior Members Board of Revenue (SMBR) for the formation of commission to resolve the border disputes between the tribal district South Waziristan and North Waziristan.
Addressing jirga at South Waziristan Lower district, Aamir Abdullah said that KP would left no stone unturned for the peaceful development of erstwhile Fata, adding that federal government has been contacted for releasing funds for the newly merged areas.
“There are obstacles in obtaining Rs 100 billion funds every year for the Newly Merged Areas (NMA), however, the provincial government taking up the issue from time to time with the federal government,” he said and added that all available resources would be utilized for the NMAs development and prosperity.
The Jirga which was held at Jirga Hall in which Deputy Commissioner (DC) South Waziristan Lower Mohammad Nasir Khan, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Kashmir Khan, District Police Officer (DPO) South Waziristan Lower Farmanullah Khan, besides the officers of all departments and tribal chiefs participated.
On this occasion, the tribal leaders had a detailed discussion regarding the problems of Lower South Waziristan, development projects, law and order situation and other issues.
