Relationship with Pakistan is economic, not security, US Ambassador

US Ambassador to Pakistan Donald Bloom said that Pakistan-US relations have gone beyond security and are now focused on economic stability.
He expressed his views in a meeting with delegation from United States (US).
In 76 years, security has been the main focus of the relationship between Pakistan and United States.
US Ambassador said during a meeting with New York’s Deputy Speaker Phil Ramos and delegation of American Pakistani Public Affairs Committee in Islamabad that these relations are now focused on economic stability of Pakistan.
When Pakistan was on the brink of default, Donald Bloom presented Pakistan’s case to State Department that IMF should help Pakistan.
The threat of default was averted through the efforts of Donald Bloom and Ishaq Dar.
