Commissioner Malakand Division Masood Ahmed and Regional Police Officer Malakand Syed Fida Hassan Shah met with the Ambassador of the Republic of Austria, Wolfgang Oliver Kutscher, at the Commissioner’s Office in Saidu Sharif Swat. Members of the Embassy of Austria’s consulate and Sardar Waqar Shehzad (Advocate) were also present on the occasion, says a statement.
During the meeting, discussions were held on promoting bilateral relations and cultural ties, with particular focus on the tourism sector. The Commissioner of Malakand briefed the ambassador on the historical, cultural, and archaeological background of Malakand Division, its attractive tourist destinations, natural beauty, improved law and order situation, and the measures taken at the government level to promote tourism.
The Austrian ambassador expressed keen interest in the natural beauty and tourism potential of Malakand Division and conveyed his desire to further strengthen tourism, cultural exchanges, and economic relations in the future.
