Controversial tweet case
ISLAMABAD: District and Session Courts Islamabad has directed Imaan Mazari and her husband Hadi Ali Chatha to give reply to the indictment on next hearing in controversial tweet case. Session judge Muhammad Afzal Majoka heard the controversial tweet case Tuesday. Imaan Mazari and Hadi Ali Chatha appeared in the court. Imaan Mazari and Hadi Ali Chatha requested the court to adjourn hearing due to non availability of the lawyers. However prosecution opposed to adjourn the hearing. Prosecutor Usman Rana said these two accused are using tactics like this to prolong the case. The accused had sought time from the court during previous hearing. Court should reject their plea and move forward the case. Judge Afzal Majoka remarked if there is no counsel of Hadi Ali Chatha on next hearing then state counsel will be appointed. Imaan Mazari and Hadi Ali Chatha did not give reply to the indictment Tuesday. The court while directing Imaan Mazari and Hadi Ali Chatha to give reply to the indictment on next hearing adjourned the hearing of the case till October 11. It is pertinent to mention here NCCIA has registered case against Imaan Mazaari and Hadi Ali Chatha. Online
