Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) Rawalpindi has issued arrest warrants of Aleema Khan sister of PTI founder in November 26, 2024 protest case registered against her. The court rejected exemption plea of the accused for one day. The court on the plea of prosecution ordered to hold hearing on day to day basis. Hearing of the case against Aleema Khan was adjourned till today (Thursday). Judge Amjid Ali Shah of ATC heard the case. Faisal Malik appeared in the court on behalf of the accused while prosecutor Zahir Shah represented prosecution.
During the hearing of the case lawyers from 5 accused completed their cross questioning of 10 witnesses.
Cross questioning of the witnesses by the counsels of the accused could not take place on Wednesday.
During the hearing of the case prosecutor of case Zahir Shah said 28 hearings of this case have been held . This case is being delayed persistently due to conduct of Aleema Khan. Therefore, order be issued for day to day hearing of this case.
Raising objection over the exemption plea of Aleema Khan, prosecution said the cause list of cases pending hearing in Lahore is not attached with it.
The court rejected exemption plea of Aleema Khan and issued her arrest warrants.
