PESHAWAR
The district and session court on Saturday ordered registration of an FIR against the three senior doctors of Khyber Teaching Hospital Peshawar for committing gross negligence due to which an eye of a patient was punctured and he deprived of eye sight during treatment.
The court also ordered the Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Peshawar to conduct an inquiry against the concerned SHO who failed to record the statements of the aforementioned doctors in the case.
The court in its decision stated the SHO failed to conduct a transparent inquiry in the case and did not present the recorded statements of the doctors before the court.
The court ordered to register FIR against the Associate Professor Dr Bakht Samar, Dr Zaman Shah and Dr Naeem Khan.
According to details, Amir Zada prayed for registration of FIR against the aforementioned senior doctors of KTH for neglecting their responsibilities while conducting his surgery in the hospital.
He stated that doctors injected local anaesthetic into the his eye without checking my Covid-19 status, adding that first Associate Professor Dr Bakht Samar of the hospital carried out details examination of my eye and then Dr Zaman Shah and Dr Naeem Khan advised an operation.
