Performance of Umrah
RAWALPINDI: Justice Jawad Hassan of Lahore High Court (LHC) Rawalpindi bench has approved Sheikh Rashid petition for early hearing of his appeal against stopping him from proceeding to Saudi Arabia for performing Umrah. As per media reports two judges of LHC Rawalpindi bench Justice Jawad Hassan and Justice Tariq Mehmood Bajwa approved the petition. The court has ordered to fix for hearing the appeal plea of former interior minister on February 26. The petitioner has taken plea in the petition that he has to go to Saudi Arabia to perform Umrah. Therefore, appeal plea be heard early. Single bench gave permission to perform Umrah but division bench suspended it. The court ordered FIA and federal government to file reply. ONLINE
