Benazir murder case
LAHORE
Lahore High Court (LHC) Rawalpindi bench has rejected CPO report based on ignorance about the disappearance of the accused acquitted in Benazir murder case.
The court took up for hearing murder case of former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto Wednesday.
The court sought detailed report on disappearance of the accused Rafaqat after his acquittal.
The report on ignorance of CPO about the matter was rejected by the court.
The court adjourned the hearing of the case for indefinite period.
The court remarked first of all we will complete the attendance of all the accused and then next proceedings will be started.
No one appeared in the court from the side of former president Pervez Musharraf.
The anti terrorism court convicted and awarded punishment to 5 police officers on August 30, 2017. Officers Saud Aziz and SP Khurram were sentenced to 17 years imprisonment each. Fine of Rs 10 lac each was also imposed .
A division bench comprising Justice Mirza Waqas Rauf and Justice Chaudhry Abdul Aziz heard the case.
