Court rejects PTI workers plea for transferring cases related to Nov 26 protest

ISLAMABAD: District and Sessions Court Islamabad has rejected PTI workers plea for transferring the cases registered in connection with November 26 protest. The petition for transferring the cases related to November 26 protest came up for hearing in district and sessions court Islamabad Friday. Two cases against PTI workers are pending hearing in the court of Judicial magistrate. Judge Nasir Javed rejected the plea for transferring two cases. It has been said in the decision that according to plaintiff the respective judge is running the case without observing legal matters. The lawyers of the plaintiff of the case failed in proving their allegation. The letter of Islamabad High Court was presented in the court. High Court has directed to run the cases registered under respecitve clauses on fast track basis. Two cases against PTI workers are registered in police station Ramna under peaceful assembly and public order act. Judicial magistrate Ahamd Shahzad Gondal will hear both the cases on May 19. PTI workers had filed petition for transferring these cases.
