Attack on former judge case
KARACHI: Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) has summoned former judge of Supreme Court (SC) Maqbool Baqir for evidence in attack on him case. In this case the statements of former justice Maqbool Baqir and investigation officer have yet to be recorded. Jail authorities presented in the court the accused persons affiliated with a proscribed organization including Masoom alias Billa, Yasir and Muawiya. The accused had attacked the caravan of justice Maqbool Baqir in June 2013 when he was on his way to Sindh High Court. 7 persons including security personnel who were deployed on the security of justice Maqbool Baqir were killed in the attack. The attacker was also killed in the incident. In this attack several persons including justice Maqbool Baqir were critically injured. ONLINE
