Pakistan while expressing grave concern over rising brutalities against minorities particularly Muslims has said crimes being committed in the name of protection of cow are condemnable.
This was said 6y Foreign Office (FO) Spokesperson Tahir Andrabi AT his weekly news briefing in Islamabad Thursday.
Foreign Office Spokesperson said Pakistan would continue its facilitatory role by keeping open channels of communications between Tehran and Washington.
He said we will continue to advocate for peace, prosperity and stability.
The spokesperson said they are working for a comprehensive peace that would be applicable to all countries and all parties in the region.
Tahir Andrabi said Pakistan has been recognized for its constructive diplomatic engagement and for supporting de-escalation, ceasefire efforts and the broader pursuit of stability between the US and Iran.
Responding to a question, the spokesperson categorically rejected India’s so called delimitation process in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, including any provisions related to Azad Jammu and Kashmir. He said the whole process is illegal, politically grandstanding and devoid of any legal value.
He said such exercises are nothing but an attempt to alter the demographic and political structure of the region and to further disenfranchise the Kashmiri people. He said India has no legal authority to redefine any part of the territory of the Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir whose final disposition is to be determined in accordance with the relevant United Nations Security Council resolutions.
Tahir Andrabi said no legislative or constitutional maneuver can alter the disputed status of Jammu and Kashmir or prejudice the inalienable right of the Kashmiri people to self-determination. He said Pakistan will continue to support the Kashmiri struggle for self-determination. He said international community must take serious notes of India’s attempts to violate international law in this regard.
Tahir Andrabi reiterated Pakistan’s call for a thorough and impartial judicial process to bring all perpetrators and facilitators of Samjhauta Express terrorist attack into account and justice. He voiced concerns over the promotion of Colonel Purohit, involved in Samjhauta Express terror attack to the rank of Brigadier.
He said this promotion raises serious questions about India’s state-sponsored terrorism, tolerance towards acts of violence against Pakistan and against Muslims and a partisan and an exclusionary mindset within India’s governance and judicial framework.
Condemning the recent attack on Pakistani coast guards he said more details of the incident are being ascertained.
He reiterated determination that Pakistan will continue diplomatic efforts for comprehensive and durable peace in the region and ensure positive movement forward in collaboration with global stake holders.
