Under the leadership of SP Faqirabad Division, Syed Talal Ahmad Shah, the Faqirabad Division Police has made significant progress in dismantling dangerous criminal gangs involved in street crimes throughout Peshawar.
The operations, led by various Station House Officers (SHOs) including Nauman Khan of Gulbahar Police Station, Malang Jan of Faqirabad Police Station, Javed Marwat of Paharipura Police Station, and Kashif Hayat Phandu Police Station, have been instrumental in targeting and apprehending criminals involved in robberies, car and motorcycle thefts, as well as other serious offenses.
A total of 38 suspects from dangerous gangs have been arrested during these operations.
Among the major arrests, the police uncovered the involvement of the victim’s wife and her relatives in the murder of Shah Hussain, a British-origin citizen.
The motive for the murder was linked to property and financial greed, with the wife initially attempting to mislead the authorities by filing a false report.
The police operations also led to significant recoveries, including 40 mobile phones, 16 motorcycles, four cars, one Vigo vehicle, one tractor trolley, two rickshaws, and 90,000 Saudi Riyals.
Additionally, large sums of cash, including two lakh 60 thousand rupees, were seized. Among the arrested individuals, some soldiers were involved in a fraudulent scheme that led to the theft of Saudi Riyals in the Gulbahar No. 3 area.
In addition to stolen goods, the police successfully raided a liquor factory in Faqirabad, recovering a large quantity of illicit liquor. Weapons used in the crimes were also seized.
Several of the arrested criminals were involved in selling stolen vehicles and motorcycles at inflated prices, as well as engaging in fraud by swapping ATM cards to steal from unsuspecting citizens.
During the ongoing investigations, the suspects have confessed to their involvement in numerous criminal activities across different police station jurisdictions in Peshawar. All recovered items have been returned to their rightful owners, highlighting the success of the operation and the commitment of the Faqirabad Division Police to ensuring public safety.
