CS-KO chairs review meeting on Good Governance Roadmap Progress

A review meeting on the progress of the Good Governance Roadmap was held on Tuesday at the Chief Secretary’s Office under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Shahab Ali Shah.
During the meeting, a detailed briefing was given on the mechanism and funding model for outsourcing hospitals with the objective of improving healthcare facilities in the province. The Secretary Health, Secretary Finance, and other relevant officials attended the meeting.
The participants were informed that work on outsourcing hospitals had already been initiated. Proposals regarding the outsourcing process of underperforming hospitals and other health facilities were also discussed. It was further shared that the listing of weak-performing hospitals and health units for this purpose had been completed.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Secretary Shahab Ali Shah said that the aim of hospital outsourcing was to ensure the provision of quality medical services to the public. He reiterated that the delivery of healthcare services was among the government’s top priorities, with clear targets set for improvement.
The meeting was also informed that a digital dashboard had been launched to track the implementation of the Good Governance Roadmap targets. The Chief Secretary emphasized that all departments must play their full role in ensuring timely achievement of these goals.
