Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Secretary Shahab Ali Shah on Friday inspected several under-construction projects of the Peshawar Development Authority (PDA), reviewing the pace and quality of work on major underpasses and flyovers across the city, said a handout.
The chief secretary was accompanied by PDA Director General, Chief Engineer and other relevant officials during the visit.
Mr Shah inspected ongoing construction work at the Dalazak Chowk Underpass, Hazarkhwani Overpass and Hayatabad Toll Plaza Underpass. He also reviewed progress on the Warsak Road and Palosai flyover projects.
The statement said the PDA director general briefed the chief secretary on completed and ongoing development schemes and provided updates on the construction status and expected completion timelines of the underpasses and flyovers.
The chief secretary directed the authorities to complete all projects within the stipulated timelines while maintaining the required quality standards. He also ordered officials to accelerate construction work and ensure strict quality control at every stage.
The projects are being executed on a priority basis across Peshawar under the Peshawar Revitalisation Plan on the directives of Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The plan aims to improve traffic flow, enhance the city’s overall appearance and reduce the difficulties faced by citizens.
