PESHAWAR
In order to inspect traffic management, Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Shahzada Umar Abbas Babar visited various important highways of the provincial capital here on Sunday.
During the visit, traffic police chief reviewed the traffic system and traffic flow in the city.
City Traffic Police Peshawar is continuing the crackdown against those who violate traffic rules, under which action was taken against 30007 people during the last week, said a handout.
Shahzada Umar Abbas Babar said “City Traffic Police is using all its capabilities to ensure the flow of traffic and enforcement of traffic rules in Peshawar city”.
He said that those who violate the traffic rules will not be lenient, while strict action will be taken as per the law.
Citizens should ensure the implementation of traffic rules and ensure the use of helmets and seat belts while traveling, including avoiding speeding, while violators are not entitled to any concession, CTO said.
Babar said that operations will continue to ensure implementation of traffic rules across the city.
