Chief Traffic Officer Dr Zahidullah on Thursday inspected traffic management and directed concerned staff to ensure smooth traffic flow on roads in the provincial capital.
CTO Peshawar visited Hayatabad to review the traffic system on roads. He was accompanied by SP Cantt Arshad Khan, DSP Hayatabad Shaheen Shah and DSP Nasir Bagh Abdul Rahim.
During the visit, Dr Zahidullah reviewed the flow of traffic and issued necessary instructions to the traffic officials.
Chief Traffic police said that all capabilities should be utilized to improve the uninterrupted flow of traffic and no negligence will be tolerated in this regard.
He said that the traffic police officers and officials should ensure the provision of better services to the citizens by following the policy of first salam then kalam.
CTO Peshawar furthered that strict action should be taken against those who park vehicles in no parking zone as the traffic system is badly affected due to wrong parking.
He said that the business community should cooperate with the traffic police to eliminate encroachments from the city and ensure smooth flow of traffic.
