ISLAMABAD: The first meeting of the Prime Minister-constituted Committee on Power Sector Reforms, chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, was held in Islamabad. The meeting reviewed progress on the reform and privatisation agenda, including institutional strengthening and capacity building of key institutions. The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized the need for a consumer-centric way forward, ensuring that ongoing reforms and privatisation translate into greater efficiency, sustainability and improved outcomes for electricity consumers.
