Deputy Commissioner Capt Retd Sanaullah Khan here Friday directed provision of better civic facilities to people and quick resolution of their problems.
He passed these instructions to officials of district administration during open court held at tehsil Shah Alam.
“Resolving public issues at their doorstep is the top priority of district administration,” said Deputy Commissioner Peshawar Captain (R) Sanaullah Khan while addressing a large gathering there.
Additional Assistant Commissioner Shah Alam Muhammad Ilyas, along with officers from relevant departments, revenue staff, public representatives, local elders, and a large number of residents attended the event.
For the convenience and awareness of the public, announcements were made in the area before the open court was held.
During the session, residents informed the officials about their problems and complained about excessive electricity load shedding in the area and low gas pressure, requesting that the duration of load shedding be reduced and gas pressure improved.
Citizens also requested immediate action against encroachments in the area, stating that these encroachments frequently cause traffic jams and severe inconvenience for the public.
Another request was made for the deployment of traffic police personnel at busy locations due to heavy traffic congestion.
Other participants also openly discussed their issues with the officials, while many submitted written applications. Officials issued instructions on the spot regarding several complaints.
Administrative officers said that the purpose of the open court was to bridge the gap between the government, administration, and the public, and to resolve public issues at their doorstep.
They directed all officers to address the complaints and requested the public to later inform them about the progress made on their applications and complaints.
The public thanked the Deputy Commissioner Peshawar and officials of district administration for organizing the open court.
