DC reviews preparations for May anti-polio drive in Peshawar

Deputy Commissioner Captain (retd) Sanaullah Khan chaired a meeting to review preparations for the upcoming anti-polio campaign scheduled for May 2026, a handout said.
The meeting was attended by administrative officers, representatives of the health department and officials of other relevant departments. Participants discussed in detail the campaign strategy, performance of vaccination teams, tracking mechanisms and challenges faced during previous drives.
The deputy commissioner appreciated the efforts of field teams, departments and parents, and emphasised that ensuring immunisation of every child remained a top priority for the district administration. He issued necessary instructions to further improve coordination and effectiveness of the campaign. Khan also appealed to parents to fully cooperate with polio teams and ensure that all children under the age of five are vaccinated.
