The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Friday changed the delimitation schedule of village and neighborhood council constituencies for the local body elections in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
“The preliminary lists of constituencies would now be compiled by September 17, 2020 and the final announcement would be made on October 25, 2020,” said a statement issued by ECP’s KP chapter.
The nominated committees would compile preliminary lists of delimitation of the constituencies by September 17. The Preliminary delimitation lists will be published on September 18, 2020 for public suggestions and objections. The public will be able to submit their suggestions and objections to the delimitation authority from September 18, 2020 to October 2, 2020. On the basis of suggestions and objections, decisions would be made on October 17.
The delimitation authority will inform the committees of its decisions by October 24. While the final list of demarcation will be announced on October 25, 2020.
Earlier, the delimitation schedule of village and neighborhood council constituencies for local body elections in KP was announced to be on 27 September, 2020.
