Special Assistant to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister, Shafi Jan, has congratulated the newly elected Peshawar Press Club cabinet, saying their democratic election reflects positively on the province’s democratic traditions.
Jan visited the press club, praising journalists for their commitment and resilience. He said the provincial government is taking steps for journalists’ welfare and will announce a special package soon.
Jan also addressed a press conference, saying Chief Minister Sohail Afridi’s Lahore visit was successful, with a warm reception from party workers and the public. He criticized Punjab’s handling of the visit, saying a curfew-like atmosphere prevailed in the city.
