Dengue attacks continue in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa including Peshawar as deadly dengue mosquito has claimed another life in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with this the death toll reached to 16, an official of the Health Department, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa told media me here on Sunday.
The official disclosed that the person who died due to dengue belongs to Peshawar as 188 new dengue cases have been reported in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in the last 24 hours. The number of dengue patients in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has reached 19908, the Health Department Official said.
He said 2 more dengue patients have been admitted in different hospitals of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and with this the number has increased to 51.
He informed that the highest number of 123 new dengue cases were reported in Peshawar, and with this the number increased to 8,264 besides 12 cases of dengue have been reported in Khyber and the number has jumped to 1173. About the situation in other districts, he said, 17 dengue cases were reported from Bannu, 16 from Dera Ismail Khan and 19 from Malakand and currently, the number of active cases in the province is 1,407.
