Development drive expands in Karak

Development activities in Karak district gained momentum as Chairman DDAC and Member Provincial Assembly Khurshid Khattak, accompanied by the focal person to MNA Ashiq Munir Khattak and Faisal Jan, visited multiple village councils and formally launched key infrastructure projects.
In Village Council Jandri, construction work on the Peshano Ghundi Road project was inaugurated. The road will connect Peshano Ghundi Stop Highway with Kamran Chowk Road at the Zebbi Dam Stop point, improving regional connectivity.
Officials said the project will also link Government Higher Secondary School Jandri, Khoz and Sabarabad Road, significantly easing transportation for local residents. A culvert at Khoz Algadey is also part of the scheme to reduce disruption during rainfall.
In Village Council Sart Khel, development work on the Shabbir Market to Sart Khel Road was formally launched.
The project is expected to enhance transport facilities, boost commercial activity and improve daily mobility in the area.
During a visit to Village Council Aisk Chonthra, the MPA inspected several streets and reviewed ongoing infrastructure conditions. He confirmed that over Rs 40 million has already been approved for street development, with work on Manze Korona Street already underway. Remaining streets will be taken up soon, he added.
Khurshid Khattak said the projects aim to provide basic facilities to underserved areas, improve connectivity, and ensure long-term solutions to public issues.
Local residents welcomed the development initiatives, expressing hope that the projects would significantly improve living standards, local development and economic activity in the region.
