DG FSA assumes charge, vows to strengthen monitoring mechanism

PESHAWAR: The newly appointed Director General of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Food Safety and Halal Food Authority, Kashif Iqbal Jilani, here Tuesday formally assumed charge of his office. He vowed to strengthen inspection, monitoring, and provincial food testing laboratory system of the food authority. During an introductory meeting with officers on this occasion, he reiterated his commitment to taking the overall performance of the institution to new heights and further strengthening the food safety system across the province. Kashif Jilani said that providing the public with quality, safe, healthy, and hygienic food would be his top priority. He made it clear that strict implementation of food safety principles would be ensured at all stages of food production, food supply chain, and sales across the province. APP
