The District Administration on Monday sealed two medical stores over illegal practices and issued show notices two medical laboratories.
On the directives of deputy commissioner Hangu Tayyab Abdullah a team led by Additional Assistant Commissioner Azizullah Jan and Drug Inspector Mohammad Zeshan raided medical stores and laboratories to check the licenses and meeting criteria set by health department.
The team sealed two medical stores over illegal practices and issued notices to two laboratories while shopkeepers were fined Rs 5000 each for selling polythene bags despite banned by the provincial government.
The district administration said tha the decision of the provincial government would be implemented in letter and spirit and zero tolerance would be shown against selling spurious drug and illegal activities.
Meanwhile, Kohat district administration team comprising official Food Authority and Livestock department fined a milk container Rs 15,000 for carrying 7,000 liter milk having 11.25 percent adulteration of water, however no injurious chemical was found in the milk.
