Doctors lead protests across Tharparkar

‘Save Sindh’s Water’
Mithi: Doctors across Tharparkar district staged protests in various cities on Sunday against the federal government’s proposed canal construction project, claiming it would deprive Sindh of its rightful share of water from the Indus River. Demonstrations were held in Mithi, Nagarparkar, Chachro, Diplo, Kaloi, and other towns, where participants chanted slogans condemning the proposed canal initiative. In Mithi, doctors marched from the Civil Hospital to the main gate, voicing strong opposition to the plan. The protest was led by PMA President Dr. Hafez Dal, Dr. Sahibdino Janjhi, Dr. Dileep Nandani, Dr. Bhawan, and Dr. Mahesh Joshi. The protesters raised slogans rejecting the six proposed canals that would divert water from the Indus. Similar demonstrations were held in other towns: in Nagarparkar, the protest was led by Dr. Dheeraj and Dr. Ashok; in Chachro by Dr. Mumtaz Rahmon and Dr. Aneel Parmar; in Diplo by Dr. Zulfqar Nohri; and in Kaloi by Dr. Nehchal.
