PESHAWAR: District Magistrate Swat Dr. Qasim Ali Khan has imposed a two-month ban on the sale of sims by mobile phone companies in various markets, streets, neighborhoods and door-to-door under Section 144 of the Criminal Code. In this regard, it has been stated in the decree that the illegal business of SIM cards through fake fingerprints can create a serious law and order situation. All persons, vendors and institutions within the jurisdiction of SWAT are prohibited from selling, distributing or facilitating SIM cards without proper authorization from the concerned regulatory authority.
