District Police Officer (DPO) Charsadda Nazir Khan on Friday chaired a meeting to review the ongoing police operations against anti-social elements.
District chief of the police stressed strict implementation of National Action Plan (NAP).
The meeting, held at Police Headquarters, was attended by SP Investigation Ehsan Shah Khan, DSP City Abdul Rashid Khan, DSP Sardheri Gul Wali Khan, DSP Tangi Zardad Ali Khan, DSP Shabqadar Riaz Khan, DSP Traffic Noor Ul Amin Khan, DSP Headquarters Nasrullah Khan, DSP Security Muslim Khan and SHOs of all police stations.
On this occasion, DPO Nazir Khan reviewed the overall performance of police and operations carried out against criminals in the district.
The meeting decided to launch a comprehensive campaign against the criminals involved in street crimes, drug trafficking, smuggling and ice peddling and residing in the district illegally.
DPO ordered the quarter concerned to ensure implementation of the National Action Plan in letter and spirit.
Nazir Khan issued special instructions to police take effective actions against the persons involved in murder and attempted murders and proclaimed offenders.
All energies should be utilized for eradication of drugs from the society and a grand operation must be launched in the district against the drug mafia, he added and said that police must adopt polite behavior with the citizens; negligence will not be tolerated in the police department, departmental action will be taken in case of negligence.
Later, DPO Nazir Khan distributed certificate of appreciation and cash awards to those who performed their duties with utmost dignity in the district.
Those who received awards included DSP City Abdul Rasheed Khan, SHO City Taimur Salim Khan, SHO Umarzai, ASI Kashif Khan, ASI Subhanullah Khan, Incharge Sardaryab Farhad Khan and other police officers.
