SHANGLA: District Police Officer Malik Ijaz here Wednesday directed for beefing up foolproof security of ongoing polio vaccination teams which is underway peacefully. As part of security measures high alert has been issued to police staff to deal with any untoward incident. The DPO said that he himself monitored the performance of police teams deployed with polio vaccination staff. He appealed masses to cooperate with polio and police teams as the polio is crippling disease and we have resolved to eliminate it from our society at any cost. During his visit to Police stations Chogah and Martong, He also directed police officials for ensuring special contingent patrolling with polio workers during immunization at mountainous area adjacent to district Buner. Meanwhile, DPO Buner Suhail Khalid inspected provision of security to polio vaccination teams and directed concerned staff for protection of polio staff so that drive could be concluded peacefully.
