ISLAMABAD, Aug 15, 2026: Patron-in-Chief of Customs Health Care Society (CHCS) and former Federal Tax Ombudsman Dr. Asif Mahmood Jah, Sitara-i-Imtiaz and Tamgha-i-Imtiaz, hosted a flag hoisting ceremony in Islamabad to mark Pakistan’s Independence Day.
The ceremony commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by the national anthem. National songs were also performed, creating an enthusiastic and patriotic atmosphere among the participants.
Dr. Asif Mahmood Jah hoisted the national flag and, while addressing the gathering, said Pakistan was a beautiful and blessed country and that every citizen must contribute within their capacity towards making the country more prosperous and developed.
He highlighted the welfare activities of the Customs Health Care Society, saying that CHCS was engaged in providing skills and training opportunities to the underprivileged segments of society.
Dr. Jah also paid tribute to the sacrifices of those who struggled for the creation of Pakistan and remembered the contributions of the nation’s founding generations. He praised the courage, strength and valour of Pakistan’s armed forces in defending the country against its enemies.
During the ceremony, Dr. Jah distributed certificates among CHCS workers as well as graduates of the embroidery and information technology courses organised by the Customs Health Care Society.
Prominent bureaucrat Mr. Ramzan Bhatti also addressed the gathering and highlighted the importance of national unity, public service and collective efforts for Pakistan’s progress.
The ceremony concluded with expressions of patriotism and renewed commitment to serving the country and its people.
