The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Labour Department has decided to introduce the E-Mazdoor Card for workers employed in various industries across the province.
This groundbreaking initiative aims to revolutionize labour welfare and streamline service records.
The decision was made during a meeting chaired by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Labour, Fazal Shakoor Khan, at his office in the Civil Secretariat, Peshawar.
The meeting was attended by Secretary Labour Mian Adil Iqbal, Vice Commissioner of the Employees’ Social Security Institution(ESSI), and other concerned officials.
During the meeting, the provincial minister was given a detailed briefing on the E-Mazdoor Card.
It was told in the briefing that the card will provide a comprehensive record of a worker’s employment history, including entry into service, tenure at various factories, and other essential details. On the occasion the provincial minister issued directives to the officers concerned to expedite the implementation process and ensure the card’s issuance at the earliest.
He emphasized that the digitization process within the Labour Department is progressing rapidly, and reforms through digital transformation are essential for improving the system.
He further said that digitalization will enhance transparency, save time, and ensure that all labour service records remain secure.
He added that the incumbent KP government takes tangible steps to introduce innovative solutions that benefit workers across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
