Newly elected members of Azad Kashmir legislative assembly have taken oath following the election on reserved seats. Speaker AJK Legislative assembly Chaudhry Latif Akbar administered oath to 46 members of assembly after reserved seats election. Earlier election on 8 reserved seats in AJK Legislative assembly took place. PML-N got 3 and PPP 2 out of 5 reserved seats of women. Sehrish Qamar, Maryam Zaman and Maryam Idrees from PML-N and Farzana Yaqoob and Zobia Khurshid from PPP were declared successful against reserved seats of women.
Pir Mazhar Saeed Shah from PML-N succeeded on reserved seat of Ulema, Mashaikh while Abdul Rehman Arain from PML-N won the seat of overseas Kashmiris.
PML-N succeeded on overall 31 seats while PPP on overall 14 seats in AJK legislative assembly election. PML-N seats stand at 32 following its alliance with Awami Dast-e-Bazoo party with one seat.
Following the completion of house, newly elected members of AJK assembly took the oath.
