Excise foils hashish smuggling bid, 108kg seized

The Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control Department has seized 108 kilograms of hashish and arrested a suspect during an operation near the Wazir Dand area of the province capital.
According to an official statement, the Excise Intelligence Bureau (EIB) Special Squad intercepted a vehicle bearing registration No. LEE-9469 and recovered 108,000 grams of hashish concealed inside it.
The accused, identified as Muhammad Bilal, son of Farhad Gul and a resident of Peshawar, was arrested on the spot.
The operation was conducted under the supervision of Provincial In-charge Excise Intelligence Bureau Saud Khan Gandapur and Excise and Taxation Officer (Narcotics Control) Majid Khan.
The raiding team was led by In-charge EIB Special Squad Waheed Akbar Khan, with SHO Majid Hussain and Assistant Sub-Inspector Malik Niaz among the personnel who took part.
A case has been registered against the suspect at the Excise Police Station Khyber, and further investigation was underway.
